Vibe coding

I never found a tool that did exactly what I wanted, so I decided to build it myself. I like learning something new every day and seeing how far I can get on my own. These side projects came out of that curiosity, imagined and coded with the help of Claude.

PROBLEM

As thirty approaches and geographical distance sets in, staying in touch can sometimes take quite a bit of organizing. After months of sparse back-and-forth, we could never actually pin down a time to meet up with a friend.

SOLUTION

I decided to take matters into my own hands, creatively — building a playful little form to nudge him from virtual chats to actually meeting up in person. The project was entirely designed and coded with Claude, except for the logo and sticker, which were made in Figma.

PROBLEM

My best friends were coming to visit me in Berlin for the first time. I already knew their questions by heart: “Where’s the Wall?”, “What’s the plan for tomorrow?”, “Do you know any good thrift stores?”. Since I love being organized, I already had all my recommendations sorted by category on Google Maps. The problem? Sharing dozens of links was unreadable, and I knew they wouldn’t click on any of them.

SOLUTION

The day before they arrived, I decided to build a custom mini-app instead. I exported my Google Maps lists as CSV files, then worked with Claude to extract the key data (name, location, category, and personal notes) and generate the site’s interface. In just a few hours, I’d turned a pile of links into an actual interactive guide.
